Solar Bears was made in association with MTV and Greenpeace, as part of an MTV series of animations demonstrating world issues with which Greenpeace are involved. The film is intended to show the effect of global warming on Arctic wildlife.

The film was made with Sarah Bird and was my second Maya project. My tasks were:

• Modelling of all landscape objects - icebergs, ice cream etc.
• All texturing.
• Lighting.
• Water surface texturing and effects.
• Particle effects.
• Blend shape effects for melting icebergs and ice cream.
• Animation of background bears.
