Tempus Fugit was made as an 'Innovations in Computer Animation' project and
was an attempt to reproduce the look of time-lapse photography in a digital
environment, with a view to generating time-lapse sequences of places and
events which do not exist in the real world.
I intended to produce a computer generated animation sequence approximating
real time-lapse photography, showing the passage of time in a 3D cityscape
environment. I concentrated particularly upon lighting changes throughout
the day, demonstrating the passage of time, and the movement of traffic through
the city.
The sequence was animated in Maya, composited with Shake and edited with Adobe
Premiere.
